I have an 08 silverado, 4.3l v6 2 wheel drive. I am looking at installing a 6" lift kit with 35 in tires and putting in 4.56's. Is there anyone out there who has done this with the 4.3l v6 like mine? Will it perform as good after i install the 4.56's and 35" tires as it does now (stock). How will my gas mileage be? I know it will drop substantially with the 35" tires but will the 4.56's bring it back up close to normal? And will i be able to drive my truck after i install the 4.56's berfore i tune the computer to register the change or will it trip the computer into this "Safe Mode" I'm hearing about?
