I am needing to remove and replace an alternator on a 1997 Chevy Malibu.I have a Haynes repair manual and it states to disconnect the negative battery terminal,remove the drive belt,disconnect the electrical connector from the alt.,remove mounting bolts,installation is reverse of removal.
As this is my first alternator change ,any additional tips or advice from someone who has done this??
