Good day, I was experiencing power steering issues with my 2006 Chevy Mailbu. I bought a power steering motor and had it installed by a mechanic but that did not resolve the issue. Afterwards I drove my vehicle to anothe rmechanic who told me he would have to diagnose the issue. I left my car there for three days. When i went back to the mechanic shop I was told because the previous mechanic did not register the power steering motor to the computer of my car it has now ceased up making it impossibe now for the car to move. Now this mechanic is stating the I need to purchase a new computer for my car. Is there any truth to what this second mechanic is saying about not registering the steering motor to the cimouter causing it to cease up ? Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
