Power steering whine?

I just got a 2002 chevy suburban about 6 weeks ago and I am hearing a whine. The whine goes along with rpms which makes me think it is the idler pulley because it squeals on overloads but when I turn the steering wheel the whine goes louder. Guys help me find out the problem!!


Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

you can narrow down the source by taking a rubber hose, hold one end near your ear and move the other end around the engine till you find the source of the noise.
