Poor radio reception??

2003 Suburban Bose system, Radio reception is really poor when the mototr is running. Pretty sure someting happened while charging battery(jumpstarting). Sounds fine when cd is playing, also wierdly enough when windshield wipers are actually moving?? Any ideas if there is an external noise suppression for the "RADIO"

The most likely culprit is the antennea. Check the connection to it. I've had this problem, and it is common for the cable to the ant to get worn and cause the signal not to be transmitted from the ant to the stereo. Go to Best buy car audio install dept and they can check it/fix it in a few minutes.

What does it sound like? It could be the ignition, like bad plug wires.
