Hey everyone so I'm having a problem with my 2008 chevy malibu 2.4 it's not starting no crank or start. So few weeks back changed starter out with used on but it worked fine with no issue since replaced, drove a ton with new one since. I also tested starter by jump wire from 30 to 87 on starter relay and it cranked over also my mechanic buddy touched positive wire to purple starter wire to check starter it was cranking like it wants to turn over.
On the dash it say power steering, service traction, service esc, low fuel but I had 1/4 tank before car shut down so I think it has to do with whatevers wrong with car causing that. Also I did a scan with my autel and I get u100 code. I thought it might be fuse box issue so I replaced fuse box and nothing still doing the same. Also put dielectric grease on bcm connectors as advised this was a bulletin from gm about cars having issue becuase of fretting corrosion.
So now I have no idea what to do and need some advice my next step is to replace the ecm as the u100 code is saying lost communication with ecm pcm module so I'm thinking my ecm got fried in the 106 degree weather we had recently.
I'm stuck dont know what else to think it is aside from ecm or maybe fuel pump relay which I'll check tommorow to rule out. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
