no 4 wheel drive 05 Yukon

05 Yukon, service 4 wheel drive light has been on for a while, the light on the switch shows it to be in 4 wheel but it sure ain't, I replaced the motor on the transfer case a few years ago, any ideas?

you need to have a scan tool to determine why the light is on, try Autozone not sure if their tool will pick up that type of code

I had it scanned, the computer was getting a signal from the switch, no lights on the switch, but the scanner wouldn't nail down the problem. Driving home on the highway, the 4low light came on. Not too fond of computer controlled stuff

I put 2 new switches in it from Napa, each one worked fine for a week, then quit working. Switch is getting power and ground, bad module?

If the switches werent AC-Delco/GM I would try an OE switch first. Guessing without some sort of diagnostic tool can be expensive.

I'm going to get it scanned before laying out any more cash
