Hi everyone as my title says i'm from Pa. I have a 2011 silverado 1500 Ls
Dont have really much else to say. My reason for joining is im having a problem with my headlight bulb socket. From what i see driving around i'm not the only one. I changed the socket and now i have an intermittent problem. I have to wiggle the socket to get it to work. This is the 3rd socket doing the same thing.
Also the air bag light came on during the socket change.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what to do. Thank You all in advance. :)

the front area of the car has crash sensors and you must have disconnected/broken a wire going to the sensor while working on the headlight.
are you always buying the same brand socket?
are you buying a GM/AC Delco socket?

Hi zora, thanks for getting back to me.
Yes i am buying the same brand socket and no i'm not buying a GM/AC Delco sockets.
When i left today. I did my usual wire jiggle. headlight came on and the airbag light went off. Even though the headlight went off after hitting a bump/pothole.

Also, feel free to put this post in the proper location.

thanks

sounds like you either have a broken wire inside the insulation or those sockets are pretty bad.

Broken wire and bad ground are the common causes of your headlight problem.
