I want to get a 12 and an 18 or 15. Looking toward DC audio level 5's. But my buddy is big into car audio and he said 2 DC level 3 12's would outbeat 1 level 5 12. Cuz that is who im going to be buying them from. He said he can either get 1 level 5 12 or 2 level 3 12's for 550$ is that a fair price cuz idk anything about them. And which would hit harder 1 level 5 or 2 lvl 3's? And I am also going to get a 18" sub but I heard if you mix different size subs together they sound crappy. But they will be running off seperate amps. Also they will not be in a box. They will just be mounted somewhere. Pls give advice. Also would they sound a lot better if I got them in boxes instead of just having them sit somewhere? Any advice will be appreciated.
