My tow-haul funtion on my Chevy Silverado quit working, any ideas?

i have the same problem with my 2007 3500 HD. I press the button but no light or anything happens. I just bought the truck so I wasn't sure what to expect.

I looked at mine a little closer. There is a rubber boot on the shift lever base that you need to pull back and check the wire from the button on the end of the shift handle. There are two wires inside an orange piece of tubing and some have reported a break in these wires. I did find a break in the orange tubing but not the wire. One of the two wires connects to a ground on the upper left part of the dash. The other becomes light blue in color and connects to the "body control module" located on the lower left side of the dash. Check the continuity of these wires and hope you can repair the problem here, otherwise the problem might be located in one of the modules. Good Luck.
