1 most sounds like that r from exhaust heat shields
2 check engine lite on..while it could be detonation the computer cuts back timing when it happens so ur engine stays alive,,get a scan...free most auto parts stores
3 its a 2001 i ASSUME yove changed spark plugs,,wires and whatever the book sez...while at parts store for scan buy a 20 dollar shop manual. its a must
4 Serpentine belt... is it in good shape?
