there are new spark plugs and wires, ran injector cleaner in it many times. new air and gas filter. i have to turn on the key wait 10 seconds or so start pumping the gas then try starting it wait an other 5 seconds and try again. i repeat this about 5 times. once it is warm it will start with no problems at all.
sorry what i meant was i press the gas peddle all the way down as i am turning the key to start.

what should the gas pressure be at for my car?

Fuel pressure should hold steady at 41-47 psi with the key on. Once you start the motor, it should drop 3-10 psi. If this is correct then your fuel pump is good. If not, you should get a manual for your car because there is a long list of tests to do to check for the cause of your problem.

Does your car have a low oil level light? Is the sensor working? My Caprice had a faulty sensor and the light would come on even though it had oil. It was cutting power to the fuel pump intermittently similar to what you describe. I changed the sensor and that solved the problem.
