I just recently failed emission test and a mechanic told me that my car is RUNNING RICH. the mechanic suspects a bad O2 sensors. ok so i just let my car park in my driveway and warm it up every morning. after a few weeks of doing that, i noticed that my car is idling rouch a little bit shaky specially when i press the gas pedal and release it quickly the car tends to shake a bit.
I also noticed that my car tends to have a hard starting problem and i have to press on the gas pedal to start it but sometimes it starts fine without pressing the gas. But one time i was warming up the car, the car engine suddenly stalls with a matching electronic sound on the engine........... i tried starting it and it will start fine but when i pressed the gas pedal and release it quickly the electronic sounded again then the car stalls. But before doing that i can feel that the car is shaky during idle and the muffler sound is chugging. does anyone know what the problem is? would it be my o2 sensor that makes my car stalls or it might be my serpentine belt? cause my mechanic told me that i need to change my serpetine belt due to some noticeable tear, would it be the cause of stalling?
