i cannot get it off. i took the side pannel off on the drivers side and took the battery out along with the battery mount and i can reach my hand up and grab the cable but what has happened is the black plastic piece thats about 1 1/2 inches long at the end of the cable that has 6 sides that connects the cable to the frame where the release is has broken off inside of the mechanism. its jamming the release lever from moving in so it cannot release the plug to the hood. part of the cable has broken off inside the mechanism and its blocking the lever from moving. i really need some help with this i have no car till i can get it fixed
