hello everyone,

please help me.

my chevrolet malibu 2003 is overheating. my car overheats and my temperature gauge doesnt reach the red part, but it is 3 lines shy of the red line. but many mechanics told me that these kind of cars run on high temperature.

when i stop at a red light, or waiting in traffic, thats when it gets the hottest. and then when i park, the coolant is spilling all over on the floor. i opened my hood and saw that the coolant is coming from a reservoir run-off hose.

i went to pep-boys for a cooling system diagnosis and they found that: > my fans are turning on at the right time
> my thermostat is good
> NOTHING ABSOLUTELY WRONG WITH THE CAR!

does anyone especially a wise mechanic can help me, please?

could it be my radiator cap? thank you very much for your answers

Hey Replace the cap automatically if its more than two years old.
Also the fan may operate at the right interval but it may be weak,
and operate at less than full speed ive seen this on other Gm products
It has brushes like an alternator that can where out
.replace your coolant temp sensor as well if its original
The thermostat could be stuck or sticking partially replace it also.
the engine could be in the beginning stages of the head gasket failure.
look for signs of this by viewing engine oil and see if its cloudy brown
or white instead of clear? Does your amber service engine soon lamp
illuminate while Driving?did pep boys pull codes? Find a reputable mechanic to perform another engine diagnosis
