mudding with a chevy silverado?

i am about to buy a chevy silverado, i want to try to go mudding one day and i need to know what i need to, to do it right. it needs to be 4x4 right and dont i need certain tires? what else???

My bud has that exact truck and it does great in the mud. all you have to worry about is getting high centered with it being so low but as for tires anything with decent tread should do well.
