I have a 2008 Suburban 1500, when i press the switch it does not open, i grounded pin 13(gray wire) on the pink connector on the BCM and it will release and you can open it, Ground the yellow wire on pin 1 on the gray connector and nothing happen's, i can also put 12 volts to the fuse in the under hood panel and it will release, could the BCM be bad or possible swicth on the handle ?

Thank You

I assume since you have the various pins to test you have a circuit diagram for the release mechanism? If so does the diagram show the non-functioning switch feeding back to the BCM or is it acting as a ground or some other function? Have you gained access to the switch to see if it has power and completes the circuit when pressed?

i do not have a circuit diagram, i did a search and found another topic on just answers and there was no solution, brought to this forum in hopes someone had the issue and could point me in the right direction, i am taking the inside panel off to ohm the the switch and check the incoming wire to see if it is supplied ground to make it operate.

glad to hear you found the problem.

Thanks for letting everyone know what the problem was. It will help everyone else with the same issue in the future.
