Hey, this is sort of two questions in one in regards to annoying noises.
1. Sometimes at random, when I idle (also sometimes when I start the car, stop, go, basically at random) I will hear this weird knocking noise come from the back of my car. It sounds like it comes from the rear right hand side of my car, and it will knock four times in one second (literally, it knocks 4-6 times each time my car gets lonely and wants to talk).
2. When I go over small bumps and train tracks, I will hear a freakish rattling sound from the front of the car. It sounds like an 11-foot, 100lb kitten tries purring below my dashboard. It seems like it comes from all on the underside of my car at times, and sometimes just from the front. I know something is loose, and I'm scared whatever it is will just fall off at some point. This is a fairly new car compared to most vehicles on the road nowadays, it shouldn't be doing this... I blame GM. I've tried countless searches online and been to a few mechanics, but nothing. I replaced a loose sway bar link, but nothing helped.
Any ideas?? I need to get these checked out!!
