A friend of mine came across what I thought was a sweet deal - a 1968 corvette 4spd t-tops with a brand new 327 engine, new clutch, tires, and interior - all for (asking price) 6900.
I jumped on it right away, however the owner said there was some rust holes in the frame. Here is a link to some pics: (copy and paste to browser)

Most of this is on the drivers side. When I saw this, I immediately assumed it would NOT be repairable.
HOWEVER this is such a nice car for the price, I just HAVE to ask: is there a chance to repair this at all??
Even if it can't be repaired to absolutely perfect condition, is there a way to repair it enough to make it driveable? (meaning w/out wobble)?
This is prob a stupid question but I just want to be sure because the rest of the car is awesome (currently flat black, needs paint).
All help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thank you!
Thank you! That helps a lot.
What are we looking at in terms of PRICE?
Can the frame be repaired for under $1k??
