Is the ride that awful as people say when the targa top is off of a C4 corvette.?

I also heard there is frame flex and possible cracking. Are these accusations true, some say yes and some say no. I really love that feature of the vette and its getting nice enough to have it off for a weekend. My vette is a 92 coupe, anyone have any more info on this.
