Is the Excursion Ford's equivelant to Chevy's Suburban?

Family of 7 is sick and tired of mini vans w/no cargo room always breaking down... Given the choice between the Suburban and the Excursion - Which would you choose? Why? Can you tell me some pro's and con's to each?
Silly me! As the sister of a die hard Chevy man (he'd kill me if he even thought I was considering a Ford) I should have known I'd get that type of response. Thanks Robert! My brother would be proud. But can you tell me why one is better than the other?

TRICK QUESTION: There IS no Ford Equivalent to ANY Chevrolet, because Ford is and always will be far inferior

edit: unfortunately I don't have much except con's for the Excursion. I'll say this: test drive one before you buy it, REALLY test drive it. I think it'd be easier to pilot a shuttle than drive one of those things. Both are gas suckers but the Suburban sips a little less at a time than the Excursion (If I remember right, Excursion gets about 8 city.) Not sure if you'll be towing much, but Suburban's going to win that battle hands down too. I pulled up a link that might help more.
