Is a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu Ss a good car?

There's a dealer near my house selling a 2007 chevrolet malibu Ss for $26,000. It only has 500 miles on it!!!! It's silver, with black leather/cloth interior, OnStar, and XM radio, 5 speed, automatic, sun roof, electric windows, keyless entry, elec seat adjuster, a/c, airbags, etc...

I offered the guy $21,000 for it, and after a bit of negotiation, he finally said yes.

My question is: Is this a good car? AND is 21K a good price for this car?

Please, only answer if you KNOW about this car. Don't just look it up and send me answers. I need answers from someone who really knows about it. Thanx.

I think it might be a Impala SS , I'm not sure if the Malibu has an SS model. If it is the Impala then it is a good deal. I believe the top of the line Malibu is the MAX and would not be a good buy at that price...

the malibu ss is chevy's attemp at a luxurious comfortable car with a little extra go for an affordable price, and i would say they succeded.
there are many cars available for that price... but the malibu is among the best
Dodge's 4 door strutus competitor has less horse power and is a rough ride....
Ford could match that price in several cars but to look as slick as the malibu you would have to pay more for one of their more luxurious vehicles
but your best competitor is an import... the Hyundai Sonata which has everything comparitive to the Malibu plus many safety features, cheaper insurance, and a killer warranty...
overall you are getting an average price for a great car... but for the same money it's possible you might be happier in another vehicle... only way to find out is test drive a couple vehicles at the same price...
