Is a 1975 Corvette RELIABLE?

Is a '75 Corvette a reliable car?
I am not talking about speed or torque. So don't tell me about that.
I know they are fast cars...
But, is there any major problem I should expect if I buy one used? (50,000 miles or more)

I have heard that you need to get the transmission fixed around 79,000 miles... is this true?
Is there any other major problems?

79k is normal on that trans.

Make sure to look at the suspension bushings and rubber mounts.
