experience with these cars? I want to buy a 2008 Chevy Cobalt coupe with 19k mi, but am a little bit worried about the reliability of Chevy, which is prompting me to also look at a Honda Civic. However, I really like the Cobalt...does anyone have any kind of experience (good/bad) with this particular car?

It's just a machine. It doesn't maintain itself, or service itself.
It relies on the OWNER to make it reliable.
So, the only reason anyone should worry about the reliability, is if they don't intend to take care of it well.
Otherwise, there's no worries. With ANY vehicle.
Here's a good way to prove the theory. Find someone who complains about the reliability of their car. Ask them for the last 5 years worth of service records, oil changes, everything.
I guarantee, they won't be able to produce it.
Find someone who doesn't complain about their car, like me, and you'll find page after page of regular maintenance, which insures that there are no major problems.
