i need to put on a thermostat chevy.Malibu 2000 where is it seen a pithier?

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Drain and recover the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
Remove the surge tank line from the coolant outlet.
Remove the coolant outlet to the inlet manifold attaching bolts.
Remove the coolant outlet.
Remove the thermostat.
Clean the inlet manifold mating surfaces.
Clean the coolant outlet mating surfaces.
Installation Procedure
 
you see the top radiator hose? then follow it and you will find the housing with 2 bolts that has to come out but watch you don,t break them and when you go to put the bolts back in just tighten them a little at a time or you could break the housing. incase you don,t know, the thermostat spring goes into the engine.
