I need to change the oil on a 1998 Chevy Cavalier...Help?

Can you give me the general location of the oil filter? I know how to do the rest, just it's not my car, I'm doing it for my friend because they don't have the money to do it, and it needed to be done a while ago. Please help?

Yes, that would be under the engine - you need to lift car up overhead. Can't anybody afford "jiffy lube"? Check w/Pep Boys or Auto Chief.

it is on the back of the block agaist the firewall on the passenger side
