...or Toyota Highlander? Ok, the moment has finally come, we need a new family car, I have narrowed it down to four cars, the Chevy Traverse (which is a less expenisive version of the GMC Envoy), the Ford Flex, the Honda Pilot, or the Toyota Highlander. As you can see we have looked at both domestic and foriegn automakers. My husband is willing to give GM aka the Chevy a chance, but Chrysler aka anything made by them is out so that canceled out all Dodge, and Jeep too. We have twins, so we need room in the back, and the third row is needed for the occasional extra traveler like my mom or dad. I like the Toyota personally, but I guess it can be the smallest of the four, and the Ford is the lowest of the four (I am 5' 10") and he is (6'2") so these things have to be considered. The Pilot seemed roomy, but the ride was stiff, I liked the car like ride of the Highlander and the Traverse. These are all things to be considered I guess. So which do you think would be best for a family of four that is tall, needs room, wants a car like comfortable ride, sometimes has an additional traveler, and takes an occasional trip as in once a year. We plan to have this car until my 2 year old twins go to college so something that would last 16 years maybe. Oh and I wanted a van, but Ford quit making thiers, so did Chevy, Dodge has one, but it was flimsy, I liked Toyota's but my husband was not hot on it, and Honda's van was very dated and cramped for us. Please help, my husband is deployed and he is expecting me to purchase this car without him. Heck, I might just put the carseats in the Toyota van and just be done with it. any opinions??
