I believe they all were made in the St Louis plant.

Corvettes are only built one place. In Bowling Green Kentucky.
 
Your car was built in St. Louis. In 1981, Corvettes in solid colors were built in St. Louis and two tone Corvettes were built in Bowling Green. In 1982 all Corvettes were built in Bowling Green through the current model year.
 
you can call chevrolet customer service 1-800-222-1020, since you have the VIN, they'll be able to help you with your query,am sure of it.there are cases when they can tell you how many of this type of car was made altogether, you'll just have to ask them specific questions
