I just bought a new 2010 Chevy Malibu with a 2.4 Liter and the car has a squeaky belt, it's not at idle just above idle and was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with this. I am bringing it to dealer in a couple days to have it checked out. I am just wondering if anyone has had this problem and what the fix was. I don't know if the belt dryed out or if it some how got oil or something on it.

Thanks.

could be a dry bearing on anything ran by the belt, the belt itself is not what is squeaking
check by spraying WD-40 at the center of the bearings or by use of a stethoscope to listen
usually a idler pulley or pulley on the tension-er, they can be replaced for $20-$30
If the bearing is on the P/S pump or alternator is bad it may be under warranty
