I have a question about a 82 corvette?

Would a 6.0 liter 2006 engine vortec max sierra engine fit in a 82 corvette to replace the regular engine? will it bolt to the transmission or fit? any suggestions if this is a good idea?

I do not think it will line up. The trans in your 82 would not have the electronic wiring to read your ECM. You will need to do some very expensive fabricating to make it all work.That means spend a lot of money.You will need to call your local speed shop to see if they can help guide you with your project.
