When it's cold I'm talking below 30 degrees and I start my truck the idle will not sit steady the rpm's fluctuates and the voltage does the same thing. The voltage will dip down to about 11 volts and then back to normal ~ 14.5 v. Even if I put my foot on the gas petal around 2000 rpm's the voltage still fluctuates. When the operating temperature of the motor comes up the voltage remains constant but the rpm's of the motor still fluctuate. My thinking on the motor idle problem is the throttle positioning sensor is bad but the voltage swing I haven't a clue. I do believe it is temperature related. Can anyone help me out?
