level of difficulty in changing i? I failed the Emissions, the code is saying it is the Air Injection Pump. I would not like to go to a shop if at all possible since money is tight...as most know. But I am curious if any one could tell me where this part is generally located, and what is the level of difficulty in changing this part. Any help is greatly appreciated.

its not easy, and is usually on the bottom of the engine, and those connections are not easilly disconnected. and if not replaced correctly it can fail the test also.

most General motor's the pump is on the left side when you are facing the engine below the ac compresser .

The Air Injection Pump on that car is electric, not belt driven. You get to it by removing the screws that hold the plastic inner fender well above the left front wheel and pulling it down. The pump comes out on the bracket after removing the 3 screws that hold the bracket to the body. Labor time to replace it is .3 hour, or 18 minutes. Easy job.

difficulty?:5 over 10
depends if u have the manual use that to locate it
