If it will run stronger while you spray carb-cleaner in the throttle, (be careful for backfires) Check fuel pressure and take a fuel sample to check for water. This truck probably needs at least 15-20 PSI and should hold pressure when you shut it off. If it does not, take the bed off, pull the pump assembly out of the tank and inspect/replace the short hose out of the pump (these blow out) or get a new pump. A new pump not a bad idea anyway at this age. Change the filter with the pump.
