I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban and whenever I have to slam on the brakes my left

front one grabs, any ideas? My mechanic says the brake pads are ok and the brakes work properly otherwise. The mechanic can't seem to repeat the problem. Any ideas on what could be wrong? Rotor, brake line?

Does the caliper lock up? if so check the brake lines leading to the calipers. The rubber hose brakes down and they will collapse causing them to seize. Had this happen on my 99 Suburban.
