Just bought a new car last Oct. ( Chevy Cobalt) I was so used to used cars that now I have a new one not sure about it. I am afraid of getting g ripped off so I decided I would just ask. Is there anything I need to know about regular maintenance. Like do I need to check tire rods for grease or any little things i need to watch out for. I was doing regular oil changes , I do them at wal-mart and was told that's the worst place to do them. Where do I go so I done get ripped off? Any suggestions?
I really would appreciate it.

just a few things
1 walmark Oil changes...check level before you leave,,,look under for leaks
2 find small private mechanic shop...consider oil change there...that way when check engine lite goes on or you need mechanic..you already have a "friend' who knows you and car
3 dealer last resort
4 learn to check all fluids..read the nice book they gave you with car

again its TIE RODS not tire rods..most newer cars have grease free fittings...

with new cars just watch ur dash for lights, if none r on then u r fine. oil changes r best done at home for the best deal. ask anyone at advance or autozone if u dobt know how. u will save a lot of money.
