dealer agreed to fix it.? I had the car towed thier and it has now been 3 weeks.. still not fixed. They keep putting me off by telling me that they dont have a full time mechanic, that the mechanic is only there 2 days a week, that they are doing me a huge favor by even fixing it. I have had to take days off of work, spend Thanksgiving home alone, im basically stranded in my house unless i can find a ride somewhere. Arent they required to fix the car in a timely manner? The coil spring broke so they told me that they have to replace the whole ball joint, spring & strut and that they had to order it from Staten Island. Then the next week they found out it was on back order and it had to be shipped from Virginia (im in new jersey) This week they told me Id have it this weekend... now it is Sat night and still no word, I plan on going in there to find out what is going on tomorrow.. any advice?
I also still make payments weekly on this car. i paid the first 2 weeks it was still not fixed..this week im not, and they will receive the payment when i get my car.. is this all legal? Do you think they are just screwing with me cause Im a young girl?
they are already fixing it for free.

Def check your legal rights- maybe there's an implied warranty of 60 or 90 days on automobiles in NJ.
It does sound like they're trying to do the right thing.
HOWEVER- if there's no warranty and you piss them off, then they can simply say "OK- come tow it out of here." and even start charging you storage fees. Did you get it in writing (or is there another witness to the conversation) that they would fix it for no charge? I'd keep calling and politely ask every day. See if they have a time limit in your state (maybe 30 days?) before they are in breach of contract. After that, then you can go after them; but you'll then probably have to pay to get your car fixed.
Good luck-
