how to wire cd player in a 01 chevy malibu?

i have a 01 Malibu and i have wired up the CD player but it cuts out. i have all the speaker wires right., ground, remote, i put illumination on red accessories and yellow to yellow. the CD player turns on put when i start driving it cuts out and then when i shut the car off and on it turns on. then it will finally stop working until i turn on my lights. so i don't understand where i wire the orange illumination wire. the CD player won't turn on when it is not hooked up. why does it cut out? isn't illumination so post to be hooked to accessories for the power to turn on when the car it on. it can't hook to the yellow battery wire.
