how much would it cost to fix a scratch on a 2008 chevy cobalt?

I was trying to park and i got a scratch on my driver side door. it is not the whole door, but an isolated area. it is not a huge scratch, and it does not look that bad. I do not care about the very very very small dent, but the scratches are eh... how should I fix it, and about how much in cost am I looking at?

We use to fix scratches in the hull of our bass boats with crayons.

I bet it's hard to find a crayon to match today's car colors though.

They do sell a scratch remover kit at auto stores though .

It's like a compound and has to be worked in by hand .

If it is only a small scratch you can buy a touch up paint to your dealer. Now if the scratch is not deep you just simply clean the scratch area probably with soap and water and dry it up then you apply the paint in it. Now if the scratch is a deep scratch you will need to sand the paint a little using a fine sand paper, then you clean it with soap and water then you apply the paint. Now about the cost the touch up paint will probably cost you around $10 or less.
