How much is a rebuilt matching numbers Chevy 1965 Corvette 327/375hp motor worth?

A guy is trying to sell me one, just curious how much that engine is worth. I was wanting to throw it in a Chevelle.

I wouldn't pay over $2500 for it and that is only if it hasn't been used since the rebuild.You can get a brand new 350 from GMPerformance parts for around $1900 and it comes with a warranty.I would go with one of those and throw in a cam and some used performance heads and you could easily make over 400hp for about the same as that 327 is worth.
