How much does it cost to replace a driver's side mirror on a 06 Chevy Malibu?

My car was vandalized this weekend I just got it 4 months ago...someone ripped off my drivers side mirror, put a dent in the door and peed on the back I am so sad about it, and NO I don't have any enemys, I live in an apartment complex and it happened in the parking lot. I think it was just a random act by some drunken a*****e. Anyway, has anyone by chance ever had to get a power driver's side mirror replaced? If so, about how much did it cost? I don't have ANY extra money right now, am 8 months pregnant and just want to get an idea of how much I need to save. I really don't have time to take it somewhere just to get an estimate. Thank you!!

Your best bet is to browse e-bay, call some local pick and pull yards, some private part dealers and if all those fail... Call GM... If you know someone who is a mechanic or works in a parts place I would ask them as they can typically get you cheaper parts. I had to rebuild the whole rear end of my car and I was quoted $5400 for parts by GM. I got my friend who worked at a shop to order the parts and it only cost me $1800. Just for an idea of how bad they will rip you off.

Around £50 to £70 if you could find in a scrapyard near around where you live and any mechanic would charge £50 for fixing.

call the local junkyards please. do not take it to a high priced mechanic or even higher priced gm dealer!! if the junkyard doesn't have one ,have them call another junkyard for one. i have gotten parts for my camaro from junkyards 1200 miles away for 1/2 the price of ANY car repair shops.
