The manual says to rotate the assembly, but that doesn't make sense. I can only pull the assembly about 2 inches away from the glass and cannot get under the guard that is protecting the wiper.
Ken, it does not stop straight up and down when the ignition is turned off while it is in motion.

Like the other blade arms, the rear one has a "shepherd's crook" at the end.

That means you pull the blade hard toward the hub.

You must also pull hard toward the free end of the arm to lock the new one in place or it will shift toward the hub and the blade cover will scrape the surface of the window.

I tried pushing on tabs and tugging on wiper blades but nothing worked. The easiest solution is to take the wiper arm off so you see the under side. This reveals where the tab is and how to remove the blade. It also makes installation of the new blade easy. The arm can be removed by pulling on the cap at the hub of the arm. It will pivot open and reveal a nut. Removing the nut allows you to take the arm off. I used a 13' Bosch blade and it worked perfectly.
