you do have a timing light right?. Hook up T light loosen but dont remove dist bolt hold down thhen locate the spark advance elec connector will be either under hood on driver side fender or behind the passenger side kick panel under dash.wire will be either tan or purple start truck check timing. if off disconnect spark advance connector set timing to 0 dont for get to locate and mark the timing marks on front cover and crank pully i like using white out. that will make timing alot easier to set when u cansee it clearly. se t timeing plug connectoe back tighen dist, remove light
