How do I remove the KEY FOB BATT LOW warning on my 2007 Chevy Malibu?

I have changed the battery in my 2007 Chevy Malibu key fob, but the radio face still says KEY FOB BATT LOW every time I start the car. I have great range, so I know that the RKE is working. I have checked the owner's manual, but it gives no guidance. Other than taking it to a dealer, what are my options?
