How can I set the AC in my 2007 Chevy Malibu to use recirculated air by default?

I just got it, and it whenever I start the car or turn on the air it automatically starts sucking outside air. The book doesn't say if there's any way to change that, thus my coming here.

Sorry; it is always going to default to outside air. The reason, according to my dealer, is so the inside windows will not fog up on humid days or in the winter when you start the car with the remote starter. He did not know of anyway to change the default.

There is a off no switch. The fan wil cut some off. Some have to switch's. The best thing is to go by the dealership or a repair shop. They will be happy to show you.
