high idle 1996 Silverado

My 96 Silverado has a very high idle. It idles around 2000 rpm. The intake gaskets have been changed recently so I know its not that. After I changed the idle control valve, the ideal went down to 900 but goes back up to 2000 as the motor warms up. Some people told me to replace the TPS. Any suggestions?

Is your service engine light on and if so have you had it scanned for codes. Autozone does it at no cost.
