help with 2008 chevy hhr!?

I drive a 2008 chevy hhr, it has the remote too. My remote to unlock, lock, or start my car doesn't work. I can only gain access to my car via key. I want to use the remote. Its set for my car, my other remote doesn't work either. But this is the tricky part. Often time I try to use my key to unlock my car, and the key will not turn to unlock, ill remove the key and press unlock and the remote will work, but once I try to use the remote again, it won't work and then my key will work again. Its like my remote only works if my key doesn't let me in my car. And vice versa. Help me! I want my remote to work!
