One recent evening, a deer decided to run into my 2011 Impala LT driver's side door which resulted in now having a dented door and mangled mirror. I have been looking online for a replacement mirror. I've noticed that my purchase options are mirrors with and without heat. This is probably a stupid question, but how do I know if my original driver's side mirror is actually heated or not? Thank you in advance for any help.

To further add to your confusion there are actually 4 left side mirrors.
With and without defogger and smooth or grained.
25947195 without defogger, grained cover.
25947197 with defogger, grained cover.
20759191 without defogger, smooth cover.
20759199 with defogger, smooth cover.

You will have to look at the Service Parts Identification Label probably found in the trunk in the spare tire well.
Look for a code starting with the letter "D".
Then look at the RPO code link to determine what mirrors you have.
RPO Codes
It is unclear who is doing the repair, below is a video if you are intending to do this yourself.
If not the shop installing the mirror should also be identifying which mirror you need.
