Hello all, I recently purchased a 99 Anahiem custom suburban K1500 LS 4x4. Haven't gotten to really drive her yet, had crank/cam code when I got her. Replaced distributor assembly. Now have random multiple misfire code. I have a new spider injector assembly ordered. Does anyone else out there have an Anahiem? It seems the company had a falling out with GM and are no longer around.

What are the exact code you're getting?

I have a 1997 Chevy Burb that I bought in Dallas - customized by Cowboy customs out of Ft Worth. Still runs great.

Are the plug wires crossed? Easy to do when you replace a distributor. Codes would help.

the code it's got now is the P0300. I didn't replace the distributor, I had a shop do it. I did however replace the plugs and wires. Actually, except for the hard start, have to crank it like crazy sometimes to get it started. Then when it catches it slowly gets up to idle. Exhaust smells really rich at first, after it runs and gets warmed up, it starts to smell pretty normal. Seems to run pretty good, except you can hear a little bump in the exhaust. Had a friend take it to another shop, he claims the guy is really good and a friend, didn't charge me anything either, to hook it up and diagnose it. Said that the spider injector was most likely the culprit. I did a fuel pressure bleed down test and it seemed fine(60-65PSI), didn't drop immediately to 0 after turning off the key. Took it 15-20 mins to bleed down. Going to do a compression test this weekend.

Pretty sure not. Can't say positively, now I will have to double check them. I'm usually very careful about changing plug wires. I do have a couple that are crossed over each other, going to straighten those out.

What kind of fun stuff did they put in yours? Mine has a CRT tv, a VCR:D, a rear radio, many of the old larger style headphone jacks, mood lights, 6 disk CD changer, power outlet in the back that is designated for "video game systems only", coaxial antenna connection. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. So far, that I've found, almost everything is disconnected. :o

My 03 burb was getting the P300 code. I think it is a random misfire? I took it in and found out that the intake was leaking(they ran a smoke test). Not sure if it will apply to your year model but just throwing that in.

Yeah, the P0300 is the "multiple random Misfires" code. P0301-8 would designate which specific cylinder is misfiring. It is the same for all OBD II computers.
Thanks for the thought, I will inspect the intake manifold gasket more thoroughly.
I do also have a raw fuel smell when you hang the butterfly on the TB open. Should be a hint of gas smell in there but not strong with the injection.
