im new to this board but have been trolling it for it a bit. Im looking to buy a suburban 95-01. Ive had a 92 for a bit but recently had it stolen so im looking for a new one. Iam well aware of the fuel pump issues with them wearing out. I had just put an access panel in the 92 so i woulnt have to drop the tank to replace the pump when it was stolen.
Ok here is my question if it heat killing these pumps couldnt i just use a high pressure pump and place it on the frame rail such as for does with their bronco's? id keep the in-tank pump just as a low volumn puller and get a high pressure pump and put it inline to help reduce the heat and workload on the in-tank pump? has anyone tried this om here? any feedback would be much appreciated.
thanks again butch
