I have a problem on my 99 silverado 4.8l, the fuel pressure on the rail bleeds off from 52lbs to zero about 4 seconds after the pump shuts off. the pump only runs for 2 seconds after the key is turned on. since there is no fuel pressure on the rail when the pump is off, that means when you jump in and turn the key to start, the pump is trying very hard bring the pressure up to 50lbs, but the injectors spraying as fast as the pump is pumping. I'm guessing that I have a leaky injector or the fuel pump is leaking off pressure when not running. 165K miles and the fuel pump was replaced at 125K. If you have had this problem, let me know what you did to fix it. Thx.
